Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Benoy’s reimagination of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park, situated in Abu Dhabi’s popular Al Khalidiya District, will integrate with and complement the surrounding public realm, offering high-energy activities, family and community spaces, as well as sustainably designed retail and F&B.

The transformation of the city park, which was formerly known as Mushrif Central Park and renamed in honour of Sheikha Fatima, will be a celebration of Her Highness’ vision, with a focus on place-making and people.

With a new mosque at the centre of a newly created Marketplace, an open-air ampitheatre and a well-balanced mix of retail pavilions, cafés and restaurants, the development will be a lively destination.

Sustainability is at the heart of the concept and shaded areas, designated seating and a looping pathway system work together to make the environment ‘human friendly’ and combine to encourage a healthier lifestyle.

An addition to the masterplan, the team is also responsible for signage and wayfinding and logo design.
